French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has announced she will run in the 2027 presidential election, despite a court ruling ordering her to wear an electronic tag while campaigning. The ruling bans her from seeking public office for 15 months — a period that will expire before the election. Le Pen also said she will appeal to France's highest court of cassation.
