Marshawn Kneeland, a former Dallas Cowboys edge rusher, has been posthumously diagnosed with stage 1 chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) after dying at age 24. Researchers confirmed the diagnosis following a postmortem brain analysis. The finding was announced by Kneeland's family and the Concussion & CTE Foundation.
