Student turned Met's open-access database into an artifact-guessing game
A college student has built Anthropeum, a free online game that draws 10 images from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's open-access archive and challenges players to identify each artifact's time and place of origin. The project creatively repurposes the Met's database of over 400,000 publicly licensed works. Art history enthusiasts can play directly in their browser at no cost.
