EU spent €43bn on building renovations, but 75% remain energy-inefficient
The European Union spent €43 billion on residential building renovations and energy efficiency improvements, but a report published Tuesday by EU auditors found the results fall far short of expectations. Some 75% of buildings across the EU remain energy-inefficient. The auditors concluded the spending has not delivered the anticipated energy savings.
