From 2027 ZUS can order additional medical tests and hospital observation for disability claimants

From 1 January 2027, Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) will gain new powers over disability pension applicants. Before issuing a decision, ZUS will be able to require additional medical examinations or a period of hospital observation. Refusing to undergo these procedures may result in the benefit being denied or suspended.
