Trump pardons 9 people convicted of illegally tuning diesel engines to evade emissions rules
President Donald Trump has pardoned nine more people convicted of violating the Clean Air Act by illegally tuning diesel engines to bypass emissions controls. Trump implied the convictions stemmed from the Biden era, but most of the investigations and prosecutions took place at least in part during his own first or second term. This is the latest in a series of pardons related to diesel emissions tuning cases.
