Neanderthals and modern humans shared culture for 20,000 years

Excavations at a cave in southern Turkey have uncovered evidence that Neanderthals and modern humans shared technologies, survival strategies and symbolic objects for approximately 20,000 years. The findings suggest a far longer and deeper period of cultural exchange between the two species than previously thought.
