Denmark buys two US P-8 Poseidon aircraft to patrol Greenland and Arctic

The Danish government announced on Tuesday the purchase of two Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft from the United States. The planes, known as submarine hunters, will surveil the Arctic waters around Greenland and the northern Atlantic Ocean. The move reflects growing NATO interest in securing the Arctic region.
