EU agrees new airline passenger rights after 13 years of negotiations

The European Parliament has adopted new rules strengthening protections for airline passengers, following 13 years of negotiations with EU member states. The changes cover areas such as compensation for delays and cancellations, as well as rights for passengers with disabilities. The updated framework is intended to address gaps in the existing system that travellers frequently found inadequate.
