NATO Officially Selects Saab GlobalEye as New Airborne Early Warning Aircraft

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte officially announced the selection of the Saab GlobalEye aircraft as the Alliance's new airborne early warning and control system during the NATO summit in Ankara. The decision comes as NATO accelerates its defence modernisation. GlobalEye is set to replace the ageing AWACS fleet that has served the Alliance for decades.
