Polish witnesses to provide PESEL, phone and email during questioning under new bill

The Polish government approved on Tuesday a bill expanding the personal data collected from witnesses during police or court questioning. In addition to existing requirements, witnesses will now have to provide their PESEL number, phone number and email address. The move raises questions about privacy and the security of personal data.
