Poland's Orlen Worth More Than Gazprom and Rosneft on Stock Market

Russia's MOEX stock index is plunging toward 2,000 points, and Poland's Orlen now has a higher market capitalisation than Russian energy giants Gazprom and Rosneft. Analyst Iwona Wiśniewska from the Centre for Eastern Studies notes that official Rosstat data do not fully reflect the Russian economy, and that the Moscow exchange is reacting primarily to politics and war.
