700 kg granite tombstone from the 13th century unearthed in central Gdańsk

Archaeologists excavating a site at the corner of Grodzka and Sukiennicza streets in central Gdańsk have uncovered a ninth granite tombstone, dating to the 13th century and featuring a Latin cross relief. The slab weighs approximately 700 kg. A burial was found directly beneath it, and researchers have begun its exploration.
