NATO banks invest over $200bn in defence — Rutte says it's just the beginning
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced at a defence congress ahead of the Ankara summit that financial institutions have already invested more than $200 billion in alliance security. He stated that banks will be actively involved in NATO arms contracts. Rutte emphasised that current investments are only the beginning of a wider private-sector financial commitment to defence.
