19 mln złoty programme to fit Bieszczady bears with telemetry collars

A 19-million-złoty brown bear conservation programme was launched on Tuesday at the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection in Rzeszów. The plan involves setting up an intervention team, fitting bears with telemetry collars for monitoring, and purchasing bear-proof waste containers. The aim is to reduce human-bear conflicts in the Bieszczady mountains while protecting the species.
