NATO launches A400M transport fleet at Ankara summit — Poland joins

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced at the Alliance summit in Ankara the creation of a European transport aircraft fleet based on the Airbus A400M Atlas. Poland is among the countries joining the initiative. The programme will also include the purchase of heavy reconnaissance drones and an aerial refuelling aircraft.
