Netflix sequel seasons shed viewers: One Piece down 30%, Awantura down 70%

In early 2026, Netflix is facing steep viewership drops for sequel seasons of its flagship series. The live-action One Piece season 2 lost 30% of viewers, the award-winning Awantura (Ransom Canyon) season 2 dropped by around 70%, and Night Agent lost 50% in season two and a further 35% in season three. Analysts attribute the decline mainly to excessively long gaps between seasons.
