Tourists swim despite red flags at Vistula Spit resorts

Red flags banning swimming have been flying for several days at resorts along the Vistula Spit, including Stegna, Jantar and Krynica Morska. Despite the warnings, large numbers of tourists are entering the water and ignoring lifeguard instructions. The behaviour is raising serious safety concerns among rescue services patrolling that stretch of the Baltic coast.
