Trump expected to offer Turkey a return to the F-35 programme

President Donald Trump is expected to tell Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that he is willing to allow Turkey to rejoin the F-35 stealth fighter programme, according to four senior officials cited by The New York Times. Turkey was expelled from the programme in 2019 after purchasing Russia's S-400 air defence system. Reuters reported the development on Tuesday, coinciding with Trump's visit to Ankara for the NATO summit.
