George E. Johnson, the Chicago entrepreneur who founded Johnson Products and transformed Black hair care in the United States, died on Monday at the age of 99. His company was a pioneer in developing and popularising hair products aimed at Black consumers. Johnson was a celebrated figure in American business history.
