Barcelona cares more about Tour de France than the World Cup

In Barcelona, the World Cup generates little excitement — Catalans identify more with cycling than with the Spanish national football team. The Tour de France, which this year started from Barcelona, drew more attention from locals than the World Cup. Political tensions mean many Catalans simply do not support the Spanish team.
