ZUS explains: survivor's pension or your own retirement benefit – which pays more?
Poland's social insurance body ZUS clarifies that people entitled to both a survivor's pension after a deceased spouse and their own retirement benefit do not always have to choose between them. The better option depends partly on whether the person plans to earn additional income, as earning rules differ between the two benefits. In some cases both can be received simultaneously or switched between.
