TikTok told an Australian inquiry that it stopped the spread of footage from the Bondi attack within 90 minutes, with a policy head describing the response as being "like a SWAT team." The Chinese company's policy chief flew from the US to Sydney to voluntarily give evidence before the inquiry. The Bondi attack occurred at the Westfield shopping centre in Sydney in 2024.
