NATO to acquire A400M transports, surveillance drone and expand A330 MRTT tanker fleet
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced in Ankara that the Alliance will establish a strategic transport fleet based on A400M aircraft. The existing fleet of A330 MRTT tanker and transport aircraft will be expanded by one additional plane, and NATO will also procure new surveillance drones. The moves are part of a broader effort to strengthen the Alliance's logistical and intelligence capabilities.
