Ex-Police Officer Loses Supreme Court Bid to Reopen Wife Murder Conviction

Poland's Supreme Court has again rejected a bid by Andrzej K., a former police officer, to reopen his murder trial. He was convicted of killing his wife in 2011 in Grodzisk Wielkopolski and sentenced to life imprisonment. Despite years of repeated applications, the court has consistently upheld the conviction based on strong circumstantial evidence.
