Hard cheese recalled over Listeria monocytogenes contamination
Poland's Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) has ordered the recall of a batch of hard cheese sold in a major retail chain after Listeria monocytogenes bacteria were detected. The pathogen can cause listeriosis, a serious foodborne illness. Consumers are warned not to eat the product.
