"Blue Eye" pulsar emits radio signal for the first time in decades
Astronomers have detected radio emissions from 1E 1207.4-5209, known as the "Blue Eye" pulsar, for the first time after decades of apparent silence. The finding suggests that some central compact objects may emit radio waves but at the very edge of current instrument sensitivity.
