Bangladesh Landslides Kill at Least 8 Rohingya Refugees in Monsoon Rains
At least eight Rohingya refugees were killed by landslides triggered by monsoon rains in southeastern Bangladesh, where they live in refugee camps. Heavy rains also battered India at the same time, causing significant damage. The Rohingya camps in Bangladesh are especially vulnerable to natural disasters due to their location on landslide-prone hillsides.
