Startup Katalyst launches rescue mission for NASA's Swift satellite
American startup Katalyst has launched a spacecraft called Link with the mission of intercepting NASA's Swift observatory and boosting it to a safer orbit. Swift has been rapidly losing altitude and risks an uncontrolled atmospheric reentry. The mission is one of the first commercial satellite rescue operations of its kind in spaceflight history.
