Starmer heads to NATO summit in Ankara to shore up European allies against Trump pressure

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will attend the NATO summit in Ankara on Tuesday, aiming to rally European allies amid concerns that Donald Trump could further destabilise the alliance over defence spending. Downing Street said leaders will focus on "building a stronger and more European NATO." Starmer plans to stress Britain's own commitment to defence spending as a counterweight to US pressure.
