Alibaba bans employees from using Anthropic's Claude Code after security accusation

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has added Anthropic's Claude Code to its internal high-risk software list, effectively banning employees from using the tool. The move follows accusations that Claude Code was used in a so-called "distillation attack" — an unauthorised method of extracting knowledge from AI models. The ban marks another flashpoint in the US-China rivalry in the artificial intelligence sector.
