Warsaw City Council rejects PiS motion to dismiss Deputy Mayor Mencina

Warsaw City Council's Koalicja Obywatelska councillors on Monday voted down a PiS motion calling for the resignation of Deputy Mayor Tomasz Mencina. The extraordinary session was called following reports of irregularities at the Szpital Południowy hospital and the dismissal of a whistleblower from the city's road authority ZDM. PiS argued that Mencina bore political responsibility, but the motion failed to secure enough support.
