NATO: European Countries and Canada Boost Defence Spending to Around 4% of GDP

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced on Monday that European member states and Canada have raised their defence spending to around 4% of GDP. The statement came at a press conference ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara, which opened on Tuesday. This represents a significant increase beyond the alliance's previous 2% GDP target.
