Kaufland fined 13.2 million PLN for misleading country-of-origin labels

Poland's consumer protection authority UOKiK fined the Kaufland supermarket chain 13.2 million PLN for misleading customers about the country of origin of fruit and vegetables. An inspection found that incorrect labelling appeared in 38% of the chain's stores. The fine was upheld by an appeals court on Monday.
