Polish climbers rescued in Slovak High Tatras after hours-long operation
Slovak Mountain Rescue (HZS) rescued a group of Polish climbers who became stranded on the south-west face of Batizovský štít in the High Tatras. Rescuers described the climbers as poorly prepared both technically and in terms of equipment. Soaked, hypothermic and exhausted, the Poles were brought to safety after a rescue operation lasting several hours.
