Black holes in 'little red dot' galaxies may be firing high-energy neutrinos toward Earth

The James Webb Space Telescope has discovered mysterious "little red dot" galaxies that existed around 600 million years after the Big Bang before disappearing within 2 billion years of the universe's age. Researchers theorise these galaxies harbour buried black holes that could be the source of high-energy neutrinos — dubbed "ghost particles" — detected on Earth. Neutrinos are nearly massless and chargeless, with hundreds of trillions passing through the human body every second at close to the speed of light.
