New Expedition to Create 3D Digital Twins of Scott's and Shackleton's Polar Shipwrecks
A new expedition will create 3D digital twin scans of the wrecks of Robert Falcon Scott's ship "Terra Nova" and Ernest Shackleton's ship "Quest," both tied to the race to the South Pole. Neither Scott nor Shackleton was first to reach the pole — that honour went to Roald Amundsen. The project aims to digitally preserve these historic vessels for future research and public access.
