George Clooney to Receive Lifetime Achievement Golden Lion at Venice 2026
The Venice International Film Festival will award George Clooney an honorary Golden Lion for lifetime achievement at its 2026 edition. The actor, director and producer has been a regular presence at Venice, appearing in 2025 with Noah Baumbach's "Jay Kelly" and in 2024 with Jon Watts' "Wolfs." Clooney called Venice his favourite festival, joking the award probably means he is getting old. Festival director Alberto Barbera praised him as a "complete, charismatic and original artist."
