Katalyst's Link Satellite Launches to Rescue NASA's Swift Telescope from Orbital Decay

Katalyst Space Technologies has launched its nearly half-ton Link satellite to pursue and boost the orbit of NASA's Swift astronomy telescope, which is perilously close to falling out of orbit within months. The air-launched rocket fired over the remote Pacific Ocean during the Independence Day weekend. This is the first commercial satellite rescue mission of its kind; NASA awarded Katalyst the contract last September, and the Link satellite reached orbit safely just over nine months later.
