Warsaw landmarks renamed to offensive terms on Google Maps in hack attack

Dozens of Warsaw place names on Google Maps — including the presidential palace, museums and monuments — were changed to offensive alternatives on Sunday, often with political or historical overtones. Poland's digital affairs ministry confirmed the incident was likely caused by individuals exploiting a bug, dismissing earlier speculation about Russian hacking. Google reversed most of the edits and blocked the responsible accounts by Monday morning.
