Silence means consent: president signs law making bureaucratic inaction a green light
Poland's president has signed a law that significantly expands the scope of administrative matters handled through "silent consent." Under the new rules, if a public authority fails to issue a decision within the statutory deadline, the citizen's application is automatically deemed approved. The reform is intended to speed up dealings between citizens and public administration.
