Study: EV Batteries Retain 95% Capacity After 5 Years, Far Exceeding Predictions

Battery analytics company Recurrent has found that the average electric vehicle retains 95% of its original driving range after five years on the road. Advances in battery chemistry, thermal management and vehicle software have driven a dramatic drop in battery replacement rates. The findings, reported by The Wall Street Journal, far exceed the original predictions made by early EV manufacturers.
