Moritz de Hadeln, former Berlinale and Venice Film Festival chief, dies aged 85

Moritz de Hadeln, the Swiss-based film festival director who led the Locarno, Berlinale and Venice Film Festivals, died on Saturday at a hospital in Nyon, Switzerland. He was 85. Born in 1940 in Exeter, England, he came from an artistic family, with his grandfather being art historian Detlev Freiherr von Hadeln.
