Switzerland Tests Solar Panels Installed Between Railway Tracks

A pilot railway section near Buttes in western Switzerland has been fitted with solar panels mounted between the rails. The project tests whether rail infrastructure can simultaneously support transport and generate solar electricity. A key advantage is that no new land needs to be allocated for the renewable energy installations.
