Hayabusa2 and Tianwen-2 reach their asteroids in back-to-back weekend successes

Japanese spacecraft Hayabusa2 flew past a peanut-shaped asteroid named Torifune on Sunday as part of an extended mission, more than five years after completing its original sample-return objective. Hours later, China's space agency released images from its Tianwen-2 probe arriving at its target asteroid after a journey of 1 billion km. Tianwen-2 will attempt to collect samples and return them to Earth by late next year.
