Rebels launch second Mali offensive and shoot down Russian helicopter

Tuareg rebels and jihadists from JNIM launched a second major coordinated offensive against the Malian government, following a large-scale attack in April. During the fighting, a Russian helicopter supporting government forces was shot down. The clashes are part of an escalating armed conflict in the Sahel region.
