Xbox to lay off 3,200 staff and close four studios in historic restructure

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced 1,600 immediate layoffs on Monday, with up to 1,600 more over the coming year — totalling 3,200 job cuts. Four studios — Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, Compulsion Games and Double Fine Productions, employing around 350 people — are being closed or transferred to new management. Sharma called it the "most significant restructure" in Xbox's history.
