Google blocks accounts after offensive location names appear on Google Maps in Poland
Over the weekend, unknown users altered the names of numerous locations across Warsaw and other Polish cities in Google Maps, replacing them with offensive and blasphemous descriptions targeting monuments and political parties. Google confirmed to Interia that it is blocking the accounts responsible and removing the inappropriate names. The incident highlighted vulnerabilities in the user-editable nature of Google Maps.
