Children's Oncology Merger in Zabrze Leaves Brain Tumour Patients Without Specialist

The hospital in Zabrze has written to parents warning that following the merger of its children's oncology ward with the one in Katowice, it cannot accommodate all young patients. The facility currently lacks a specialist with the necessary experience in treating childhood brain tumours. Parents of affected children will likely be referred to hospitals in Kraków or Warsaw.
