Conservative groups petition FCC to deny licence renewals for ABC stations
A coalition of prominent conservative organisations has petitioned the FCC to deny licence renewals for eight local TV stations owned by ABC, alleging political, racial and sexual bias and support for the Chinese Communist Party. The FCC, led by Trump appointee Brendan Carr, had already taken the unusual step of requiring ABC to apply for renewal years ahead of schedule. ABC has been a repeated target of criticism from Donald Trump.
